What is cattle ranch?

logo.png

At Cattle Ranch, we are more than just a butcher shop; we are advocates for animal welfare and we are laying the groundwork for a legacy of regeneration and prosperity for future generations. Additionally, we are a ranch dedicated to regenerative agriculture and we are open to the public as a gesture of transparency, with the aim of educating consumer families about ethical meat consumption.

Regenerative agriculture seeks to restore soil fertility and habitat for wildlife and prevent erosion.

We strive to cultivate an environment where nature can thrive in harmony with our ranching practices. Our holistic approach focuses on soil regeneration, improving biodiversity, and compassionate care for our animals. We are building a legacy of regeneration and prosperity for future generations.

COW LIFECYCLE

The cow goes through various stages throughout its life, including the calf stage where it depends on its mother's milk, the weaning stage where it becomes independent, the first breeding where it reproduces, and the first calving where it gives birth and begins milk production. The cow's life cycle includes these key stages of birth, growth, reproduction, and milk production.

01

BIRTH

It begins with the birth of the calf, which can occur after a gestation period of around 9 months.

02

CHILDHOOD

During this stage, the calf is primarily fed on mother's milk and gradually starts consuming grass and other solid foods.

03

YOUTH

As the calf grows, it enters the juvenile stage, where it continues to feed and grow. This stage can last several months until the cow reaches sexual maturity.

04

SEXUAL MATURITY

Once the cow reaches sexual maturity at around 15-18 months of age, it can begin to reproduce and give birth to its own calves.

05

ADULTHOOD AND REPRODUCTION

During this stage, the cow is capable of reproducing and giving birth regularly, contributing to the livestock's reproductive cycle. A cow can continue reproducing for several years.

06

MILK PRODUCTION

During this stage, the calf primarily feeds on mother's milk and gradually starts consuming grass and other solid foods.

07

OLD AGE

Like other animals, cows eventually age. During this stage, they may experience a decline in milk production and may be retired from dairy or breeding purposes.
