What is a butcher?

The main purpose of this blog is to share with you how I have been discovering different qualities, brands, and certifications that can help you identify your favorites and analyze the differences between meats from around the world, from their names in different countries to the breeds of animals they come from.

This is a space where I seek to communicate and share what is one of my greatest passions: the world of meat.

What is a Butcher?

For me, a butcher is someone who knows where the meat comes from, the structure of the animals, and knows how to use the different cuts according to what the customer is looking for. It's simply a way of life where you're willing to share everything you've learned with anyone who has that new curiosity and enjoys cooking. Let me briefly tell you how I got started in this.

I remember the first great moment when I noticed a huge difference between all the meat I had tasted up to that moment in my life. It caught my attention so much that after tasting it, I began to remember how the experience had been captivating each of my senses one by one. I started to observe practically everything: how it was prepared, how for the grill master it was a whole ritual that enveloped all of us present, the smells, sounds, the camaraderie that was generated around that moment, the wisdom demonstrated by doing everything so meticulously and delicately. At that moment, I realized that I wanted all of that to always be present in my life, and I found the common thread in meat.

The world of meat, like anything else, has been constantly evolving. It's no longer a coincidence that you get a good piece of meat with unmatched tenderness and juiciness. Now it's the result of the work and study of people who dedicate all their time to these wonderful animals that give us their lives so that we can enjoy all of this. For this reason, it is indispensable for us that in the places where the meat comes from, the quality of life, feeding, but above all, that there is a deep respect to honor the animal throughout its life and of course also at the moment of its death, which must be perfectly taken care of to prevent the animal from suffering in any way, and with all of this, to thank it for feeding us.

At Brasa Blanca Butcher Shop, we are very aware of all this, so we make a very careful selection of the origin of our products. All countries have different beliefs and cultures, therefore, we only seek to bring meat that is in line with our ideology.

The main intention of this blog is to share with you how I have been discovering different qualities, brands, and certifications that can help you identify your favorites and analyze the differences between meats from around the world, from their names in different countries to the breeds of animals they come from.

I invite you to read my next blog where I will talk a little more in detail about all of this.
